[edit]Placing a youtube infobox on probably a half million of pages of people who have youtube channels is not a good idea. it's the same as adding a infobox for each Facebook page . It might make more sense to do this only if the person is premonantly known, or at least very signficiantly known, for having a channel. This "very significant" should mean more than entertainer, because every current entertainer has one. I don't see from the text that the example, Adele, is significantly know nor it, merely having some performances released on it. Can it be defended on the basis of similar infobox usage? - I think if we implement that, we would need to write up another essay. It is a good idea, but we would need crowd support, and consensus to implement. Jamesjpk (talk) 23:28, 12 June 2017 (UTC)
- In any case we do agree there is not yet consensus for it, and I am revising the section to represent what I believewould be closer to current practice. DGG ( talk ) 22:08, 13 June 2017 (UTC)

I agree that not every subject that has a YouTube channel should include the infobox. If YouTube / their YouTube channel is significant to their career or public image, then it should be included. I don't really see a reason for Adele to have the infobox, and it's just awkwardly placed in a section where it doesn't belong. Justin Bieber on the other hand has a section dedicated to social media and YouTube, in which the infobox is perfectly fitting. Sekyaw (talk) 17:18, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
