The Yap flying fox (Pteropus yapensis) is a species of megabat in the Pteropus genus found on Yap Island.[2] The species is listed on CITES Appendix I, and is classified as "Vulnerable" due to a major decline due to commercial hunting in the 1970s, and ongoing subsistence harvest.[1]
