Yog gram is a naturopathy treatment centre situated in Haridwar, India. It was inaugurated by former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Mr. B C Khanduri on 8 June 2008. It is a type of village where the environment is completely pure and natural.[1] It provides physical, mental and spiritual health to the patients suffering from incurable disease through the integrated therapy of Ayurveda.[2]

The concept yog gram is of yoga guru Baba Ramdev and his associate Acharya Balkrishna.

Features

Yog gram have been described as Adarsh village, where following facilities are available.[3][4]

  • Naturopathy is available here.
  • People come here to take benefit of Yoga, Meditation, Panchkarma, Shatkarma.
  • A 'Gaushala' (Cowshed) is also constructed in Yog gram.
  • People come here from different countries for treatment through natural therapy and to do yoga and pranayam.[5]

Expansion of Yog gram

Baba Ramdev has started work to expand of Yog gram.This work will be the beginning of the first Tirupati. Very soon plan to build an Ayurvedic and Yog gram center in Tirupati.[6] Swami Ramdev says that capacity of Yog Gram has expanded to serve 600 patients.Earlier we have able to cater to 300 patients.[7]
