NowCommons: File:Ticondergoa cruiser Port Royal.jpg[edit]

File:Ticondergoa cruiser Port Royal.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Ticondergoa cruiser Port Royal.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Ticondergoa cruiser Port Royal.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 21:41, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your unblock request per e-mail[edit]

I am in receipt of your unblock request, which I decline. Your request does not convince me that you understand what the problem with your upload was. The problem was not just that you "violated copyright by not following the proper OTRS channels to obtain permission for media", but that you uploaded files with positively false copyright license tags, and that you did so even after being indefinitely blocked at Commons for the same misconduct. Even if I were to agree to unblock you under the condition that you do not upload any images ever again, your long list of blocks for various other misconduct leads me to believe that I cannot trust you to adhere to any conditions of your unblock and that you would not be a net positive to the project if unblocked.  Sandstein  06:54, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:VSS Disassembled.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:VSS Disassembled.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Masur (talk) 18:22, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mk 48[edit]

I demerged the mk 48 machine gun article. If you still think it doesn't need an article you can suggest it. Marcus Qwertyus 12:45, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:M247 DIVAD.JPEG[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:M247 DIVAD.JPEG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Marcus Qwertyus 07:37, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A photo you uploaded[edit]

Hi Koalorka,

I thought you might like to know that I’ve used a photo you uploaded on my website:

http://www.unmissablejapan.com/etcetera/self-defence-force

I’ve made it link back to Wikipedia to acknowledge the source. Thanks very much for uploading it in the first place – it’s a really good photo.

cheers,

File:RQ-7B UAV.jpg missing description details[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 08:59, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:RQ-7B UAV.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Blurred Lines 00:08, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Brügger & Thomet has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No references. Please add WP:Reliable sources as per WP:REFB

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Orphaned non-free image File:B+T Logo.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:B+T Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:14, 28 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
