Campbelltown railway station is located in Campbelltown, a city on the south-western periphery of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is officially located on the Main Southern line and is served by the South and Airport and East Hills lines. It is the main terminus of the Cumberland Line and most intercity Southern Highlands Line services. It is also served by some CountryLink services.

The station was opened on 17 May 1858. At one time it was the junction for the Campbelltown-Camden line but this branch line was removed in 1963.[1] Services to Campbelltown have been electrified since 5 May 1968.[2] The Southern Sydney Freight Line will pass by the western side of the station.

[edit] Platforms and services

Campbelltown is the terminus of the South and Cumberland lines. However, a few South Line services a day continue south to Macarthur Station.[3]

This station is serviced by four trains per hour each way, with additional trains during weekday peak hours. Cumberland Line trains operate only on weekday peak hours. The station is equipped for Easy Access for wheelchairs.
