Lin Chi-ling (Chinese: 林志玲; pinyin: Lín Zhì Líng, born November 29, 1974, in Taipei, Taiwan), is a Taiwanese model. She is the official spokesperson for China Airlines, appearing in company commercials and calendars. Some of the nicknames given to her include: Bing QiLin (冰淇淋) ("ice-cream"), ChiLing, Ling-Ling, and Chiling Lin.

Chi-Ling's secondary school was Taipei Municipal Zhongzheng Junior High School, and she later attended Bishop Strachan School in Toronto. She studied at the University of Toronto where she majored in Western Art History and Economics.

Chi Ling was deemed the most beautiful Asian woman. Currently Managed by Catwalk Modeling Agency, Chi Ling is one of the most recognized models in Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China.
She was in attendance at the Chanel International Show in 1999.
China Airlines produced Lin Chi-ling figures.[1]

She has had numerous roles in television over her time as a model, being the host of TVBS-G LA Mode News, TVBS-G Fashion Track, and the Golden Melody Awards in 2005.
She has stated that in the future she wants to be a TV news anchor.

She has made her movie début in a historical epic directed by John Woo entitled Red Cliff. Playing the role of Xiao Qiao, it was her first time acting ever.
