CyberLink Corp. (Chinese: 訊連科技股份有限公司; pinyin: Xùn lián kējì gǔfèn yǒuxiàn gōngsī) is a multimedia software company headquartered in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The company was founded by Dr. Jau Huang, a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Taiwan University, who currently serves as chairman of the board and Chief technology officer.[2] The company has regional offices in the United States, Netherlands, and Japan.

History

In 1997 Alice Chang, who was then Executive Vice President and CFO of Trend Micro, joined CyberLink as CEO. CyberLink became a publicly traded company in 2000, listed on the Taiwanese stock exchange (5203 TW).

CyberLink has been named by Forbes' as one of Asia's "200 Best under a Billion" companies,[3] as one of Businessweek's "Asia's 100 Hot Growth Companies" and among the Top 20 Taiwan Global Brands as rated by Interbrand.[4] In 2014, the company's video editing application PowerDirector was awarded "Editor's Choice" by PCMag [5] and Tom's Guide[6]

Cyberlink Media Suite

The CyberLink Media Suite is an all-in-one package of various CyberLink applications. It is designed to allow users to create, play, burn, convert and share media at home. Its main competitors include Corel Digital Studio, Nero Multimedia Suite and Roxio Creator.[7] Among other products it includes PowerDVD and Cyberlink MediaShow. There is a MoovieLive.com online community.[8]
