Elliot Goldenthal scored the soundtrack for the movie Demolition Man. It is an example of his off-beat style and use of unconventional techniques in film score; incorporating big brass clashes and complex, dramatic string arrangements.[6][7]
It won Goldenthal an ASCAP award in 1994 for best original score and was his first big budget action film score.

Sample of "Dies Irae" from the album Demolition Man: The cue for the opening sequence, as Los Angeles is at war, begins one of the film's few standout themes.
Sample of "Guilty as Charged" from the album Demolition Man: The ambient, atmospheric, atonal cue for the title sequence at the start as the protagonist is put into cryo-stasis.
Sample of "Obligatory Car Chase" from the album Demolition Man: The self-evident title explains the use of this cue, a car chase; another example of Goldenthal's oddball approach to the movie and one of his first overt uses of electronic techniques to augment his orchestrations.
Sample of "Machine Waltz" from the album Demolition Man: This cue is used during a fight just before the end, based on a waltz and, like a lot of the rest of the score, conveys a subtle comical overtone to the action.
Sample of "Final Confrontation" from the album Demolition Man: A Goldenthalian action cue from the end of the movie.
