Dokuchaievsk (Ukrainian: Докучаєвськ) is a city of oblast significance in Donetsk Oblast (province) of Ukraine. The city is located on the river Sukha Volnovakha and is surrounded by Volnovakha Raion, which it does not belong to. Population: 23,733 (2013 est.)[1]; 24,383 (2001).
Starting Mid-April 2014 pro-Russian separatists captured Dokuchaievsk and several other towns in Donetsk Oblast.[2][3][4] Since then the city is controlled by the Donetsk People's Republic.[5]
