Eastern Theater Command, one of the five war zones of People's Liberation Army, was founded in February 1, 2016; its predecessor is the Nanjing Military Region.

Its jurisdiction includes Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shanghai and the East China Sea fleet.[original research?][citation needed]

Its commander is Gen. Liu Yuejun and political commissar is Lt. Gen. Zheng Weiping.
