Ministry of Construction (Israel)

The Housing and Construction Minister of Israel (Hebrew: שר הבינוי והשיכון, Sar HaBinui VeHaShikhun) is the political head of the Israeli Ministry of the Housing and Construction and a portfolio in the Israeli cabinet. The post was created in 1961, and until 1977 was known as the Minister of Housing. Construction was also previously part of the Labour and Construction ministry during the provisional government between 1948 and 1949. The current minister is Ariel Atias of Shas.
There has been a Deputy Minister on several occasions.
