[edit] Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation v. Keith Malley
Anticipating a future The Simpsons Movie, Malley registered "TheSimpsonsMovie.com" in 1999 as a cybersquatting attempt. In 2007, the year of the film's release, Malley rejected an offer by Twentieth Century Fox of $300 for the domain name.[1] Malley reportedly made a counter-offer of $50,000 for the domain[citation needed], however he claims that this was his attorney's estimate of how much a year's work might be worth.[2]
Twentieth Century Fox took its complaint to WIPO, which found that the domain had been registered in bad faith and ordered it be transferred to Fox.[3]
[edit] Keith and The Girl
Since 2005, Malley has cohosted a podcast, called Keith and The Girl, with his ex-girlfriend Chemda Khalili.[4] There are currently over 1,500 episodes available online. [5]
[edit] Books
Malley is the author of two books. In 2001, he self-published a novel online, The Great American Novel. His second book, What do we do now?, which he co-authored with Chemda Khalili, was published in 2010 by Three Rivers Press.
After writing The Great American Novel, Malley began another book entitled A Decent Standard of Living, which was to chronicle his career. However, the manuscript existed only in digital form on Malley's computer and was lost before its completion, allegedly by his roommate. The manuscript was never found, but the search for it became a meme on his podcast.
[edit] Movie appearance
Malley appeared in a 2009 independent film, She's Crushed.[6]
