Kheyrgu Rural District (Persian: دهستان خیرگو)[3] is in Kheyrgu District of Lamerd County, Fars province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Chahar Taq.[4] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Kheyrgu[5] (now a city).[6]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of Alamarvdasht District) was 6,259 in 1,314 households.[7] There were 6,757 inhabitants in 1,752 households at the following census of 2011.[8] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 8,611 in 2,529 households. The most populous of its 25 villages was Kheyrgu (now a city),[6] with 1,821 people.[2]

After the 2016 census, Kahnuyeh Rural District was established in Alamarvdasht District and Kheyrgu Rural District was separated from the district in the establishment of Kheyrgu District. In addition, Kamali Rural District was established in the new district.[4]
