Controversy

  • The film director, Aguiluz, was critical of Estregan's decision to re-shoot several scenes to re-edit and re-score the final film. Aguiluz then filed a case at the Makati City Prosecutor's Office against the film's producer, Maylyn Villalon, for violating Republic Act 8293, the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.[1] On December 23, a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) was granted by the Intellectual Property Office to Aguiluz.[2] Producer Scenema Concept International gave in to Aguiluz's request to remove his name from the credits of the movie and from all film posters.[3]
