Ganlu tea is the most famous tea from Mount Meng (Meng Shan), Sichuan Province in the southwest part of China.

It is believed that the tea was first discovered by Buddhist monk, Wu Li Zhen, as early as 202 BC–24 AD.[citation needed]

Ganlu is translated as "Sweet Dew", which refers to sweet flavor and taste of the tea.
