Santo Domingo (or Sto. Domingo) is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Nueva Ecija, Philippines. According to the latest census, it has a population of 47,960 people in 9,532 households.
It is bordered by the municipalities of Talavera and Quezon.

When the Second World War begins of the outbreak, Japanese zero pilots was air raid invaded the municipal town at Santo Domingo during the Japanese Invasion on December 1941 and before the entering the Japanese troops occupied the town municipality during the Japanese Occupation on 1942. Built of the Japanese military garrison was stationed the town.
During the conflicts and insurgencies under the Japanese Occupation on 1942 to 1945, its a four year sieges by local various guerrillas and Hukbalahap communist groups was downfall the fought side by side at the town municipality in Santo Domingo has aiding by the Filipino soldiers under the Philippine Commonwealth Army units and attacking Imperial Japanese troops. The conflicts and insurgencies on 1944 was aftermath, many guerrillas and Hukbalahap resistance was downfall retreating Japanese Imperial Armed Forces and starts the liberation on 1945 was battle of Filipino soldiers and guerrilla groups with the Japanese Imperial forces.
When the following of the Allied liberation on 1945, Filipino troops of the Philippine Commonwealth Army and Philippine Constabulary with the aiding local guerrilla groups and Hukbalahap communist resistance has liberated the town of Santo Domingo and defeats Imperial Japanese ground troops and ended World War II. After the battles, over 4,500 Filipino soldiers and guerrillas killed and wounded and 29,000 Japanese troops killed and captured in action.
