Sonderkraftfahrzeug (abbreviated Sd.Kfz., German for "special purpose vehicle" or "special ordnance vehicle") was the ordnance inventory designation used by Nazi Germany[clarification needed] during World War II for military vehicles; for example Sd.Kfz. 101 for the Panzer I.
