On 22 February 2022, it was proposed that this article be moved to 1848 legislative election in the Empire of Austria (1867–1918). The result of the discussion was no consensus.

name[edit]

In retrospect, I'm not sure if the short name Cisleithania is the most pertinent here. Its article indicates that it was used for Die im Reichsrat vertretenen Königreiche und Länder - The Kingdoms and States represented in the Imperial Council. So it stands to reason that the first Imperial Council election implied the existence of the cover term, but it's not necessarily so. It could have also been coined precisely in 1867. Oppose per WP:NC-GAL, the naming convention for election articles. The current title is the correct naming format, and the rationale is somewhat misleading, as although the category is named as such, the main article is Cisleithania. Number 5 7 14:35, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
