Untitled[edit]

There is some confusion here, because Washington Independent is also a newspaper promoting a liberal / progressive agenda. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.121.163.26 (talk) 11:16, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reactionary Blanket Spamming[edit]

The previous comment is full of reactionary weasel words. A reactionary is a person who projects a longing for an idealized past, usually unlike a very ambivalent past, onto the present in order to avoid change and adaptation. The weasel words are 'liberal/ progressive' and ESPECIALLY 'agenda. Progressive liberals need to be vigilant of weasel words used to 'label and dismiss' us. The reactionary Right (remember this is a precise definition, not a weaselly term.) is waging war. Tapered (talk) 07:05, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

History and programs[edit]

1. Restored notable early history - mass deletion of material supported by citations is unacceptable in Wikipedia(with few exceptions). If an organization changes over time, that's ok, we neutrally, tactfully, factually document it, with verifiable sources.

2. IMHO, journalistic training by the organization is interesting enough for more about the training itself - does it include sourcing primary vs secondary, citing, factchecking, tone, editorial(self) oversight, becoming a reliable & verifiable citable source, records retention, etc.? Addendum: I ask because of this unfortunate occurrence, made worse by lack of kept records.

Please discuss. Because this is not a forum (WP:NOTFORUM) I invite non-article related discussion to my Talk page, and non-Wikipedia discussion by email. --Lexein (talk) 13:57, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merger Discussion[edit]

Request received to merge articles: Shareblue Media into The American Independent; dated: 12/2019. Proposer's Rationale: Shareblue Media changed its name to The American Independent. The American Independent is a blanked redirect page that leads to The American Independent News Network/The American Independent Institute. Name change evidence here: https://www.facebook.com/theamericanindependent/posts/1410119385836599 and www.shareblue.com now redirects to www.americanindependent.com. Merger should be allowed. A simple move does not work considering The American Independent already exists. Discuss here. Are015 (talk) 14:25, 20 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am moving this request from redirect to its target out of courtesy, as it appears the request was intended for a merge to this article. Jalen Folf (talk) 00:51, 27 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@JalenFolf: I don't think that your change was intended by the proposer. My reading is that what is actually wanted is a technical move, rather than a merge, from Shareblue Media to The American Independent (long title; currently a redirect; I think that this is the better target) or American Independent (shorter title; currently a redirect). The reason for not merging to this page (American Independent Institute) is that there are two related but distinct media outlets:
I'll change the redirects as an interim measure until the final destination is sorted out. Any objections to me closing the merge and putting in a technical move request? Klbrain (talk) 15:01, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Given no objections, moving to technical move request. Klbrain (talk) 19:28, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
