Citizenship[edit]

The current designation of "British American" as his citizenship is not only incorrect, it makes no sense. There is no such nation as "Britain America", and no such citizenship as "British American". It should be something like "British & American (dual)" or "Dual UK & USA" etc. 2605:6000:F343:F300:9816:38D0:BF7C:4D25 (talk) 18:32, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I believe that this article should contain some amount of simple information on Garfield’s religious views/beliefs. Garfield has spoken about this aspect of his life on numerous occasions, mainly because of his role in Martin Scorsese’s film ‘Silence’.

In 2016, speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Garfield stated: “I'm not a Christian person. I consider myself pantheist, agnostic, occasionally atheist, and a little bit Jewish, but mostly confused.” [1]

In an early 2017 interview with Stephen Colbert, Garfield described himself as “Kind of an Agnostic Pantheist.” [2]

Yet also in another 2017 interview (this time with America Magazine) Garfield expressed, when speaking about his experiences with the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola and his work in ‘Silence’: “What was really easy was falling in love with this person, was falling in love with Jesus Christ. That was the most surprising thing.” and then “God! That was the most remarkable thing—falling in love, and how easy it was to fall in love with Jesus.”[3]

Thank you for your time and I hope you’ll consider adding this information to Garfield’s page.

Buddy, Wikimedia doesn't allow links to youtube. So you'll actually have to get off your ass and look for the video yourself: J8ZOttyAs9Y?t=32 Starting at 0:32 Andrew Garfield himself states this information is wrong. SO: Remove the mention that he is a philatelist. --2A02:1811:EC8E:A900:6133:C879:E342:E2A5 (talk) 20:11, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Addition to Andrew Garfield resumé.[edit]

It's not listed here, but he played two characters in Episode One of the BBC's Simon Schama's Power of Art. Season 1 Episode 1 October 2006 Caravaggio-David With the Head of Goliath. The two dramatizations he is in are meant to illustrate particular episodes in Caravaggio's life. First vignette Andrew Garfield plays a model for Caravaggio and the second one he plays one of the card players. I thought this would be an interesting and valid addition to his resumé. addition of Across the Spiderverse[edit]

Hi all. As I am aware Andrew Garfield had an uncredited archival footage cameo in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which every time I add it, it gets removed. I believe that it should be added as not only does Tobey Maguires page feature his cameo, Across the Spider-Verse shows up when you Google Andrew Garfield as one of his own movies. https://thedirect.com/article/spider-verse-2-andrew-garfield-cameo-photos

Regardless of it being archival footage and a cameo I believe it should still be added to his page. How many other actors pages feature credits like this and have caused no issue so why is this one any different. Spooderman6920 (talk) 20:49, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What other articles do and what they should do aren't necessarily the same thing. I don't believe an actor should be credited when they only appear in archival footage, but I'm not sure what policies/guidelines have to say on the matter, if anything. DonIago (talk) 13:14, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I just believe it sticks to a theme I suppose, if all of the actors have it then it fits together nicely not just some having it and others not. Spooderman6920 (talk) 13:20, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's my point though; perhaps the better option is for articles not to mention actor appearances as part of archived footage. DonIago (talk) 15:59, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
