I wish people (especially on Wikipedia) would stop taking Steve Jobs's quote about styluses out of context. He was referring to the new capacitive multi-touch interface not requiring a stylus, as opposed to previous surfaces that required one (either because they did not support capacitive touch, or because the UI required the precision of an arrow tip). Also, he was making that comment in the context of a phone. Apple clearly demonstrated the purpose of the Apple Pencil as drawing on a larger surface, and the primary input device for the iPad Pro is still your finger.99.100.96.57 (talk) 14:13, 12 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The Apple Pencil is not a Stylus[edit]

A stylus is used to input and and select icons, that is not what this is. This is exactly what it says it is, its a pencil, albeit, a digital one. Its use appears to be for drawing, not for inputting. Apple does not call it a stylus, although a few misinformed sources seem to. Any reference to it being a stylus should be removed, as well as the misguided section on Steve Jobs disapproval of a stylus, which this "pencil" clearly is not.--JOJ ^Hutton 02:06, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe digital pen would be a better descriptor. However we'd need a reliable source that makes such distinction to include it in the article (and I think that stub article could be merged into digital stylus, as they're instances of the same general idea). Misuse of "the"?[edit]

The only image on the page is a bit outdated and I think the page can benefit from the addition of more images.
