New enough, long enough, well referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. But there is far too much linking going on inside sentences, which is why the Philippine Star ref (footnote 5) is cited so many times. Please move all the cites to the end of the sentence and eliminate the duplicates. For example:
He resumed his singing career^[1] performing in clubs,^[1]^[2]^[3] including in Ember's Club in Cubao^[4]^[1] where he was earning ₱15 a night.^[1]
This would be rewritten as:
He resumed his singing career performing in clubs, including in Ember's Club in Cubao where he was earning ₱15 a night.^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4]

The hook is okay but repeats Mathis' name three times. Could you try rewriting it? Hook ref verified and cited inline. No QPQ needed for nominator with less than 5 DYK credits. Yoninah (talk) 09:48, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Yoninah: I appreciate your feedback. Regarding that excerpt, I placed the citations in that manner (as with others) to maintain WP:INTEGRITY, and it looks fine to me. Nevertheless, I already made little changes to that specific part in the live version so it may look less cluttered. Here's two alts, the first so "Mathis" isn't overly repeated, while the second is a new, simpler hook.

WP:INTEGRITY does not include citing the same source over and over in the same sentence. I moved the cites to the end of the sentences. As it is, you have 41 cites to the same source, which is rather extreme considering that other sources verify the same material. ALT2 looks good, thank you. ALT2 hook ref verified and cited inline.
