Vision[edit]

This article will give people a better understanding of one of the oldest, if not the oldest, secondary school in Barbados. The article will be improved because the information I will be providing will be non biased. So far people have complained about the article being biased and full of lies. After I am finished, there will be no more complaints and most people will be satisfied. Since I have never attended Combermere and have no kind of connection with the school, I will only be able to provide and go off of facts.

My vision for this article is to educate people and help them understand the history of Combermere School. I will be adding a little bit of history about when Combermere started which was in 1695 as the a Free School as a result of an endowment of £2000 from the will of Colonel Henry Drax. I will also be adding some information about the teachers, the principal, other faculty and their level of education. Combermere has approximately fifty-four trained teachers including one Guidance Counsellor; most of them possess bachelor degrees with at least three acquiring doctorates.

My main goal is to help understand the Bajan culture better and see that they take their education seriously. This school has established itself as a leading secondary school in Barbados. Combermere School offers an excellent music program and are the holders of countless cricketing trophies thanks to the Head of the Physical Education Department Mr. Michael Small, Mr. Roderick Estwick (cricket coach) and Mr. Michael Worrell (athletics coach). By learning all these things they can get a better outlook on the community and area.

Poor article[edit]

Not only does the article not have sources at all, but it is written as though someone from the school staff wrote it. I've appropriated it with the proper templates. --Whip it! ^{Now whip it good!} 01:59, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It was a poor article precisely because the school has written it ...well actually most of it was copy-pasted from the school website. I've removed the offending paragraphs. Sionk (talk) 12:30, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The book 'Combermere School and the Barbadian Society' just calls it 'Combermere School', rather than 'The Combermere School'. The school's website (which I just updated in the external links section) does likewise. I think the article has the name right. Girth Summit _(blether) 11:55, 1 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
