You're totally missing "Duke it out in DC" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.173.126.147 (talkcontribs) 13:24, February 26, 2007

Also, the link to Blood is linking the article to blood as in blood in our body, not the game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.184.18.67 (talkcontribs) 19:21, August 7, 2007

Visually Stunning for 1993?[edit]

Why does it state that the graphics of Duke Nukem 2 were visually stunning for 1993? I played the shareware version in 1995 and I thought it looked like an 80s game, which surprised me because it said that the prequel had only come out in 1991. Really, the graphics were utterly, utterly, utterly crap even by 1993 standards. I mean, come on, compare this to games like Commanche, Doom, Strike Commander, Day of the Tentacle, etc, etc, all of which were available on the PC in 1993. I definitely think that the person who wrote that comment is either under the age of 20 or didn't play video games in the mid-nineties.

If you compare it to arcade games (they used expensive hardware, I know) Mortal Kombat II, Virtua Fighter and Virtua Racing came out the same year. Final Fight and Street Fighter II were two years old, and the Ninja Turtles arcade game was already four years old. All these games had much better graphics.

In same genre, Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Megadrive/Genesis and Super Mario World on the Super Nintendo came out in 1991, two years before Duke Nukem 2. So I think I've stated enough evidence to prove that the graphics were crap by 1993 standards, for those who don't remember what videogames were like in 1993. Platformers have never been abundant on the PC, so it's probably lack of competition that allowed the game to get away with being so poor in comparison to its console counterparts of the time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Holymolytree2 (talkcontribs) 04:12, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

3D Realms folded[edit]

According to multiple reports, 3D Realms has closed its doors, effectively killing development on Duke Nukem Forever. —Wrathchild (talk) 20:29, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind. I see the Duke Nukem Forever article has been updated. —Wrathchild (talk) 20:36, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Do we need 4 Duke Nukem Wiki pages[edit]

I think all 4 need to be combined into 1, Nukem does not need this many WIKI pages, sorry truth hurts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 0pen$0urce (talkcontribs) 01:08, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ventrilo Harassment[edit]

Could we at least get even one sentence about Duke Nukem sound clips being used for Ventrilo Harassment? TheGreenMartian (talk) 02:11, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Has the meme been covered in reliable sources?--Drat (Talk) 07:21, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Is a link to the actual use in Ventrilo Harassment good enough? [1] TheGreenMartian (talk) 21:57, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

DNF Release dates.[edit]

I feel that the release dates in th first paragraph copntradict itself. It will be released world wide on the 10th, but on the 14th for America? World wide I assume means everywhere, inlcuding the US. Maybe I'm looking at wrong, but still. Also, I thought games usually hit America first anyways. - 174.102.160.125 (talk) 00:09, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't contradict itself. "Worldwide" in the case of the release date of Duke Nukem Forever means "everywhere but the US". I'm pretty sure someone will reword that statement soon. --69.248.1.200 (talk) 14:38, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
