There reads: The abbey was the first producer of Bénédictine, a herbal liqueur, based on brandy.
However, Bénédictine article says: in fact Alexandre Le Grand invented the recipe himself, and that abbey thing was just a "story to connect the liqueur with the city history to increase sales". 88.114.246.209 (talk) 19:33, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
