"J-Pop"?[edit]

Hate to nitpick, but is it technically "J-Pop" ONLY because it's sung Japanese? I mean, I would think that it's K-Pop, or at least "A-Pop" or something... -- 76.14.41.180 (talk) 20:31, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Japanese popular music - I would say it fits in that category. It is sung in Japanese, targeted to a Japanese audience. And it's pop music. Their singles chart on major Japanese charts like Oricon and the group promotes on major Japanese music shows. So it's pretty much J-pop as any other native Japanese artist doing J-pop music.
