Merge proposal[edit]

Spirit of Ontario I was renamed to Tanger Jet II after being sold to another owner. It is a common and useful practice to keep one article for ships even after renaming. -- 790 ♫ 22:29, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

An alternative would be to separate the information about the Rochester-Toronto ferry service from the article about the ship. There is enough independent coverage of the ferry service and its demise to justify a separate article. Chick Bowen 21:36, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, two articles about the same ship does seem rather excessive. I'd say merge it into the new article, but also split the History section into a separate Toronto-Rochester ferry article (and, for that matter, merged with Canadian American Transportation Systems).
