Filmography section[edit]

I restored the Filmography section. If editors want to improve the presentation of the information of this person who is a multi-hyphenate that reflects this then I embrace that. But to delete the content like this is both unnecessary, but is also unjustified. -- BrillLyle (talk) 05:33, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Material about comments.[edit]

Does it belong in the article.--Malerooster (talk) 02:44, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review[edit]

Overall, everything in the article has been relevant to the article topic, the only thing that becomes a little distracting is when you mention Tracy Oliver and not link her page so we can see who she is and her position within this field of work. You remain neutral throughout the article but in certain areas biased claims are made but I understand that is due to the sources you have used which displays certain feelings towards the director. Improvement can be made with the flow of the text, stating facts is great reliability but in terms of the structure and formatting of this article work can be down to tie areas in together. A viewpoint that is underrepresented would be your author's inspiration and passion in her field of work, you discuss her some struggles she has had with race in her early life, but it would be nice to see reoccurring themes that she produces to get a taste of her interests and her personality as a film director. Some of your links are not active or just do not exist as well as 1-2 repeated references on articles that have just been reproduced by a different publisher. Improvement can also be made on your work cited some of your references were not fully completed and all the information needed is found on the links you attached. All your sources support the claims in the article and were reliable but most of your sources did contain strong biases. Just be careful with rewording a fact because one word itself can impose or indicate bias. As I said Improvement should be done on helping some sentences flow together but overall it was good so don't hesitate to add more, there are so much more topics, themes, and genres, that can be discussed when talking about Issa Rae and her interests.Boss Lady 416 (talk) 02:38, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Second Peer Review Your page is really detailed and there is a good amount of info on Rae’s specific projects. Good points were made on Rae’s contributions to supporting black/female/minority filmmakers as well as her promoting series and films that are concerned with issues regarding how women, black individuals and black communities are treated. There are minor grammar issues and the flow of sentences could be better and more concise. I’d recommend more proof reading. The last two lines in The Sip subsection don’t appear to be cited. I believe the info is from either the 38th or 39th citation, it just needs to be moved further down to the last line. I’m not entirely sure so I won’t make any changes to that part, just something to take note of. --Marliethefilmcritic (talk) 19:18, 1 November 2018 (UTC)Marliethefilmcritic[reply]

Name?[edit]

In the early life section, she is referred to by her last name, "Diop," but in the rest of the article she is referred to by the last name in her stage name, "Rae." Should this be made to be consistent across the article, or is there a reason that it is the way it is? — Preceding unsigned comment added by PupGoomba (talkcontribs) 01:34, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Update Needed[edit]

Please update that picture of Isaa Rae. That was 2017 and now we're in 2022. It does her no justice or respect. Please update to a current picture. Thank you. 108.27.249.154 (talk) 01:26, 4 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
