Untitled[edit]

The part of this statement about "first rock mass" is inaccurate or poorly sourced. "Colaianni served as Executive Director of the National Liturgical Conference, Washington D.C., 1967-1970. In that capacity, he produced the first “rock mass,” featuring Minnie Ripperton and the Rotary Connection, at the Liturgical Conference National Convention, Milwaukee Arena , Milwaukee, WI, 1969, with thousands attending."

The first documented documented rock mass was produced in Morgantown, West Virginia in 1968, nearly two years before Mr. Colaianni produced his rock mass in Milwaukee. Mr.Colaianni was serving as Executive Director of the National Liturgical Conference, Washington D.C., 1967-1970, when he witnessed the Mind Garage band playing a rock mass called the Electric Liturgy (aka The Electric Mass) at the August 1968 Liturgical Conference in the Sheraton Park Ballroom, Washington D.C. See the August 22nd edition of the Washington's Evening Starnewspaper for documentation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.225.75.58 (talk) 04:30, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
