Article and hooks appear to meet requirements and I didn't find any close paraphrasing. The hooks (particularly ALT2) could probably be improved by explicitly mentioning her as being Joseph Smith's sister. There's a sentence in the article that says "passed away"; such wording is usually avoided in articles per WP:EUPHEMISM. QPQ has been done. Comment: Article is scheduled to appear on the Main Page for Wikipedia:Selected anniversaries/July 18 for the 200th anniversary of her birth. I don't remember if DYK has a specific policy about this, but from the OTD perspective, articles are supposed to only get one appearance per year as a featured item on the Main Page. While exceptions do happen (mostly due to human error), this means that if it appears in any other section in a calendar year, I won't select it for OTD. Normally, articles don't get into OTD before DYK, so this is kind of an outlier, but I would suggest that this article be considered ineligible for DYK because of this. Alternatively, if DYK is the preferred outlet, then I'll be happy to remove it from OTD this year despite the bicentennial anniversary. —howcheng {chat} 08:22, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure about OTD, but in the case of ITN an article is ineligible for DYK if it appears as a bolded link in an ITN blurb, but not if the article is listed under Recent Deaths. Given that her appearance in selected anniversaries is not a blurb but rather under the births/dates section, I presume that the rules for OTD are similar and the article can still run on DYK. @Narutolovehinata5: You're correct. see item 1D under Wikipedia:Did_you_know#Eligibility_criteria. Since it just appeared as a bolded name at the bottom and not in a blurb, it's DYK eligible. I'll correct that euphemism, and let me know if there's any other work that needs to be done.

Not a personal preference: the parentheses must be removed from the hook as they are avoidable (see WP:DYKSG#C9):
ALT2b: ... that Lucy Smith Millikin(pictured) fainted while running to spread the news about her brothers Joseph and Hyrum Smith being released from prison?

Thank you for catching that with the parentheses. I agree with BlueMoonset; ALT2b isn't the best. It's pretty much only there for the Joseph Smith name drop.
