Merger proposal[edit]

This article and three others, Emergent plant, Submergent plant, and Helophyte are all small. They currently don't have much context, and I think it would be helpful to merge them. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 17:14, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps all four articles could be merged into Aquatic plant? Or perhaps Macrophyte could be merged into Aquatic plant and the other three articles could be expanded? --Epipelagic (talk) 18:53, 9 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with merging all these into the aquatic plant article, that is the most common name and most useful for most people. I can help do this. Wasp32 (talk) 11:01, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Given the above discussion, I've merged the remaining two smaller articles here, pending the results of the formal proposal to merge to Aquatic plant (I've just placed the merge template on that page). Klbrain (talk) 10:32, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I just saw the tag at Aquatic plant, and I would be fine with merging that way. --Tryptofish (talk) 22:40, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Support for this move.--Iztwoz (talk) 08:24, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes - this move is reasonable as it's so closely related that it overlaps in content. Plus, the auquatic plant article could use the expansion. Andrew Z. Colvin • Talk 15:36, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
