Name of the article[edit]

As the war has no official name, for now i decided to call it the Maghrebi war, as it encompassed all the major Maghrebi powers. In case anyone has a better name, feel free to move the article Whatever748 (talk) 03:41, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced edits[edit]

Jamalie7, your edit is literally unsourced: i.e., not a single source provided to support this assertion, nor is it mentioned in the article. In fact it doesn't seem to make sense in the context of this article at all. Stop adding material that seems to be designed to promote a certain POV, as you have been doing in other articles; you keep trying to add Tripolitanian "victories" into lists and infoboxes that contradict the actual content of the articles. R Prazeres (talk) 18:27, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@R Prazeres okay I'm gonna ask something but I'm gonna be little nice so you tell me becuase of the narrative of the article I shouldn't put the truth which is Italy recognized the independence of senussi and the Tripolitanian Republic? Jamalie7 (talk) 18:29, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@R Prazeres secondly it literally truth about the maghrebi war Tripolitania got involved in one campaign and then didn't get involved Jamalie7 (talk) 18:30, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@R Prazeres oh isn't i thought that was the senussi one yet my point stand the Tripolitania got involved in one campaign and won that campaign Jamalie7 (talk) 18:32, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@R Prazeres at least it should be logical see the war and read it they got involved in one campaign of Constantine which they won and didn't get involved in battle of chellif ? Jamalie7 (talk) 18:37, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The Maghrebi war[edit]

The Maghrebi war was a total Algerian victory, Algiers never opted for an expansionist war unlike morocco and Tunisia. the fall of the muradid dynasty was a direct result of this war as the defeats in eastern Algeria allowed the Ottomans to remove the muradids from power, the Alawites failed to expand beyond the moulouya river as attested in the listed sources. In fact this war encouraged Algiers to take back Oran from Spain which it did in 1708. Nourerrahmane (talk) 12:27, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Check the Ottoman Algeria article where more sources were provided on this matter. Nourerrahmane (talk) 12:42, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Map[edit]

Hey @M.Bitton, don't you think we should put a historical map to each important event or war in early modern period of the Maghreb history ? I think this would help give better context especially that the borders between these states changed from time to time, i beleive this would at least stop some POV pushing. Best. Nourerrahmane (talk) 14:36, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There really is no need for one, especially given the fact that these maps tend to attract all kind of single purpose accounts whose interest is far from building an encyclopedia. M.Bitton (talk) 14:38, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't hide that i added this map partly to stop this user from pinging me Talk:Battle of Chelif. Nourerrahmane (talk) 14:43, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Nourerrahmane: I suggest you do the same thing for the other article, which already has a location map (similar to what is used on the Battle of Wadi al-Laban). That way, you'll put an end to the time wasting exercises. M.Bitton (talk) 14:51, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Done, the deleted map was already added in an adequate subsection of the Regency article. Like always, thanks for your valuable suggestions. Nourerrahmane (talk) 15:06, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Very good to see how we finally reached a consensus,I agree with what you said.
Thank for your cooperation. Shadi (talk) 16:27, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
