With only one season of 8 episodes currently being broadcast (and has not even completed airing yet), there is absolutely no reason to have an article about the season, a article with no-summary episode lists, and an article about the one season.

It's interesting to note that twice an editor has attempted to correct this [1], [2] but was reverted each time and told that a second season is in development, so the splitting will happen sooner or later, and it should be sooner.

So what? What about the show being renewed for a second season means that we have to have three articles (four when season 2 begins) to cover 18 episodes? With the season article measuring 66kB and 3862 B of readable prose, WP:SIZESPLIT does not apply. Additionally MOS:TV#Multiple pages is explicit when it tells us that this sort of 3-level splitting may need to occur only when the series has become very lengthy ("80+ episodes", not "8+"). Even when season 2 rolls around, Magic City (TV series) should still be able to handle a list of 18 episodes.

What makes the split even more hilarious, useless, and pointless is that there is nothing in the season 1 article that is not word-for-word identical to Magic City (TV series) except for the episode list table and two sentences about ratings. The intro is similar. The cast list is exactly the same. The production section is exactly the same. The critical reception paragraph is exactly the same. So after navigating through two more pages from Magic City (TV series) to read episode summaries, the reader learns absolutely nothing more. Why do we want to annoy our readers like that when all the information they're after can easily be put into one article? Matthewedwards (talk · contribs) 02:09, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

• Oppose - Why making a big deal out of this? Sure, having three articles could be against WP:CRYSTALBALL, but there is so much effort on all three. Let's wait for the fate on Season 2 because, right now, this proposal is a little too premature to conclude. • So much effort? Work has gone into 1 page, the season 1 page. The list of episodes page transcludes the episode table, and the main series pages copes the prose from the season page, so there's little effort involved in those. It's not about being against crystal ball, it's against the MOS and SIZE. What's premature about it?   • Unfortunately, merging would result an eventual re-splitting if the next season premieres. As for British shows.... well, I wish Series articles were split, such as of List of As Time Goes By episodes and List of Absolutely Fabulous episodes, but there have been no efforts on splitting them up because... • George Ho, they range 10-8 episodes each. I doubt merging the info back here would mean re-splitting. I think if there are 3 seasons planned, and they range from 8-10 episodes or a little more, they would be merged back into the main list, however reception and other info goes here, not in the list article. Why split by seasons when we can merge all seasons together? granted, when season 2 comes out both season 1 and season 2 might be split (into the same article). • It doesn't look like anyone else is going to comment here (no one has even updated the episode summaries for the month of May), and there were a couple more comments at WT:TV, so I've moved the episode table to Magic City (TV series)#Episodes, redirected [[Magic City (season 1) to this article, and redirected List of Magic City episodes to the section Magic City (TV series)#Episodes. Sorry I'm late to the party. I'm all for merging the season one article with this one, but a second season renewal more than justifies the creation of a list of episodes page. I created similar pages for Veep and Girls after their second season renewals and no one has objected or complained. There will be two seasons and at least eighteen episodes. Deleting this article was overkill and I'm going to re-create it once there is a little more information on a second season, unless someone massively objects. The objections have been noted already. There are plenty of TV shows that were canceled after one season and all 24 episodes are in the main page. There is no reason to split two table totaling 18 entries into a separate page. Matthewedwards (talk · contribs) 16:01, 30 May 2012 (UTC)

This is certainly overkill. Similarly, Boss, which is also on Starz, got an 8 episode first season and 10 episode second season and it has an episode list. Let Me Eat Cake (talk) 21:52, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
