Help Please[edit]

Gust of 208 km/h have been recorded[edit]

Jonesport, ME, USA Buoy 44027 119 mph was official, the Machias Seal Island, ME 129 mph reading was unofficial. I will make this distinction in the infobox. Also this page should be entitled "March 2014 Nor'easter" as it's somewhat ridiculous to track it halfway across the earth over 12 days and call it the same storm. Thanks. Regarding this storm's behavior, winter storms like this one tend to have very long life spans, unless you consider 1-2 weeks to be short. Additionally, this storm did not originate from the US, and it is currently heading to Europe, so nor'easter would be inappropriate for the article title. The storm currently seems to have stalled over Greenland, even though it is about to dissipate. However, when we give a storm an article, we will title it by one name, and usually refer to it by that name. LightandDark2000 (talk) 10:10, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Should be deleted[edit]

Absolutely not. This storm was the strongest extratropical cyclone to pass through the region since Hurricane Sandy. The next time a storm of this intensity struck the region was in January 2018. Also, this storm had enough impacts to be notable. Your claims don't really hold any water here. This article could actually be expanded further. Wikipedia's coverage of the weather has been pretty lacking, and we should be writing more articles. Editors should be expanding on content, not nominating articles they don't like for deletion. I’ve seen these types of articles been created before, and they typically wind up in deletion. There is an AFD for the 2020 Dalton, Minnesota tornado looking very strongly toward deletion for that reason. Much of the coverage I found is WP:ROUTINE, and I couldn’t find any WP:LASTING coverage.
