Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Le Roux's importance to both computer science and criminology. There have been a few authoritative pieces written about him. I was not able to finish the article yesterday. I will finish it soon when I have a chance. --Microslayer (talk) 22:33, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Paul Le Roux is certainly notable + well worthy of a wikipedia page. --Devokewater (talk) 20:37, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Federal Bureau of Prisons info[edit]

The Inmate Locator returns one result for “Paul Leroux”, that being Paul Calder LeRoux, #67464-054, a 46 year old white male reported as released on 09/04/2013.  Unknown where he is or who has him now. knoodelhed (talk) 16:45, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Bitcoin link?[edit]

There has been some relatively credible speculation linking LeRoux to "Satoshi Nakamoto" [[1][2]], including apparently hard documentation of (at minimum) a connection to Craig Wright -- namely, a court document featuring an accidentally un-redacted link to this very page: [[3]]. Is this worth discussion here? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.170.194.202 (talk) 01:20, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That's not credible speculation - David Gerard (talk) 09:15, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
He is not Satoshi Nakamoto --Devokewater (talk) 20:38, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Probably should be protected?[edit]

This page should probably be protected until the churn from today's drama dies down. Regardless: I am not a Bitcoin developer and haven't been for years. Please don't reintroduce text alleging such, if someone must reference the comment I made on the subject please indicate that I am a former Bitcoin developer (as is easily established with a few seconds on google). --Gmaxwell (talk) 00:38, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
