Latin name[edit]

Italian Wikipedia says it's "Dioecesis Savannensis". AnonMoos (talk) 03:23, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Are these numbers supposed to add up?[edit]

I find "The current number of priests stands at 102. Of these, 90 are serving actively, while 22 priests are in retirement status."

Made mistake -- data from wrong diocese[edit]

Today, the history of this page includes me bringing in data from the wrong diocese in list of other bishops who were priests of this diocese. THIS IS NOW CORRECTED, and that category is back to just the 2 bishops who belong there, with dates for their leaving this diocese added, and added missing information about one of those being a coadjutor. July 2021 Latin Church revision[edit]

As of July 2021, this article was modified to eliminate the nondescript term "Roman Catholic" in favor of the more precise distinction of "Latin Church" (the sui iuris church) and "Catholic Church" (the denomination). If you believe this edit to be in error or improper, please make the relevant reversion and open discussion on this talk page or my personal talk page. Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist, NOT Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help[edit]

At one point in the "History - 1870 to 1950" section, Savannah's Cathedral is referred to as "Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help". The underlying link correctly links to "Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist". but nowhere on either page is there any other indication that the Cathedral was ever called "Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help".

Nonetheless, this does seem correct, as the Cathedral's official website does indicate that in 1873 "The new structure was dedicated to “Our Lady of Perpetual Help,” a name the Cathedral retained for ten years." https://savannahcathedral.org/church-history/
