Talk:Saint Anselm's Abbey (Washington, D.C.)
Untitled
[edit]st. anslems is the most baller skool ever
I'm a St. Anselm's Oblate & employee
[edit]The History section is sketchy. I'll talk to the monks about fleshing it out.
Meanwhile, this sentence: "As the number of monks increased, the monastery was made a conventual priory of the English Benedictine Congregation." gives the impression (to me, anyway), that the monastery was incorporated into the EBC as it grew. In fact, as a dependent foundation of Fort Augustus, it was already in the EBC. The change was from dependent foundation to independent house, i.e. "conventual priory".
I'll also see about adding a section on the Oblates, i.e. lay associates of the Abbey.
Might not some more information about the Order of Saint Benedict be appropriate?
I've never contributed to Wikipedia before, so not really sure what the protocol is about making changes, critiquing, or adding to an article. Regina Terrae (talk) 18:53, 9 December 2011 (UTC)Regina Terrae
