Another comparison as far as ownership is concerned[edit]

Star Trek is owned by CBS while Star Wars is owned by Lucasfilm.

Rise of Skywalker/Abrams hate[edit]

I didn't love Episode IX either, but the Abrams section of this article seems to have a lot of hate that doesn't seem to further the comparison between Wars and Trek other than that in both cases reception of Abrams's version was mixed among fans. It seems to be well-sourced, so I don't want to just delete it, but does it belong here? Specialsam110 (talk) 16:01, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Usefulness?[edit]

Do we need this article? Most of it seems to be made up of personal opinions. It might be more sensible to compare the fandoms of each, or to focus on a perceived rivalry between the two. Why compare Star Wars and Star Trek and not Star Wars and Marvel? Or Star Wars and Planet of the Apes. The connection seems arbitrary and the only real Basis is their Position in popular culture and fandom of which there is very little in this article. 91.137.11.178 (talk) 07:44, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
