Pic requests[edit]

I found two pics the cover art for this game, and some screenshots too. The first cover is tiny however, and the other is bigger but from eBay. On the bright side the screenshots look very good. If any of them are desired let me know and I'll upload them, provide fair use, and place them wherever you like in the article.

Soundtrack[edit]

I've uncovered an old Japanese Strider fansite with a Moto Kikaku-produced OST to the manga. The page has a complete tracklist and even some lyrics. What's the best way of working this into the article? Should we? Scion, LSCM Webmaster (talk) 17:22, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure how to integrate it to the article though, since technically the album was for the manga and not the NES game. They did meant to put the opening song's lyrics to the game, but the only reference I have for that is an old TV ad for the game from unknown origin. I wonder why Capcom never released the Famicom game in Japan, considering all the pre-release hype they had for it. Jonny2x4 (talk) 00:02, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Are you talking about this video? Are they actually singing the lyrics in that video? I think it could probably go pretty easily in this article, since the album is just the game's OST, plus a version of the opening and ending themes with lyrics. I too have no idea why they never released it on the Famicom. It makes no sense. It's almost like the only reason it saw release at all due to the popularity of the coin-op. Scion, LSCM Webmaster (talk) 02:30, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, the Famicom game shows the same exact lyrics on the opening that are on that very website you found (only the game version is written entirely in kana). I think they were trying to produce a sort-of interactive anime with the NES version, especially when you consider the episode titles they give when you get a password.
Are you sure the tape features the same chiptuned music as in the NES game and that they're not the original recordings or something? Because if its the latter, then its not an OST. It could still be mentioned though. Jonny2x4 (talk) 06:23, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No, I'm not sure. I don't have the tape myself. I was going off the link above which seemed to indicate chiptunes with lyrics. It would be awesome if they were the original recordings. Scion, LSCM Webmaster (talk) 17:35, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
