Fair use rationale for Image:Tnlogo.png[edit]

Image:Tnlogo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Definition[edit]

Tambaram is a suburb of Chennai and not a satellite city; technically, a satellite city is a one that lies completely outside of a city's metropolitan area, beyond its urban periphery. For example, Arakkonam, Gummidipoondi, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, etc. are called satellite cities of Chennai, not its own neighbourhoods or suburbs like Tambaram, Vandalur, Avadi, Thirunindravur, Minjur, etc. all of which together make the megalopolis of Chennai. They are all the rightful constituents of the mega city of Chennai. Tambaram and Avadi's status as corporations are merely for administrative purpose (focused administrations such as revenue and tax collection, permitting constructions, infrastructure management, etc.) and that does not make them distinctive cities out of a metro area that they have been part of. City of Tambaram[edit]

I notice frequent edits from multiple users reverting the page to outdated information. City or suburban is a legal and administrative definition. Your personal views and opinions contrary to that are your own opinions, that do not constitute a fact. Please refer to Please refer to Section 1 of the Tambaram City Municipal Corporation Act, 2022. The Sub-section of Section 1 of the Act states the following:

(1) This Act may be called the Tambaram City Municipal Corporation Act, 2022.
(2) It extends to the city of Tambaram.
(3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 3rd day of November 2021.

Please note that the "It extends to the city of Tambaram." is used in the same way Central Acts use, "It extends to the whole of India" and State Acts use, "It extends to the whole of the State of Tamil Nadu."

While the City of Tambaram, along with the principal city of Chennai and other surrounding areas are part of the Chennai Metropolitan Area, Chennai Metropolitan Area is an area for planning purposes as used by Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, it does not constitute a jurisdiction or administrative division. In fact, a Metropolitan area usually comprises multiple principal cities, jurisdictions and municipalities: neighbourhoods, townships, boroughs, cities, towns, exurbs, suburbs, counties, districts and even states and nations in areas like the euro-districts.

In other words, Tambaram is a City within Chennai Metropolitan Area, it is not a suburban of Chennai as per the Tambaram City Municipal Corporation Act, 2022. I would like to highlight, that Tambaram is governed Tambaram City Municipal Corporation, which is a Local government in India with duly elected Councillors.
