Notability[edit]

WP:NBOOK requires "4. The book is or has been the subject of instruction at multiple elementary schools, secondary schools, colleges/universities or post-graduate programs in any particular country."...

Need any more? Bazj (talk) 19:39, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I do. None of your links actually point me to them using the book, they just teach a course call UNIX programming. Thats like saying a random Algebra book is notable because they teach Algebra in schools... Just not that specific book! EoRdE6 (talk) 19:51, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Every last one of them links to the book. You are clicking on the numbered external links not just the wiki links to the college names aren't you? Bazj (talk) 20:00, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes of course I am clicking the external links! Also you may want to say your piece at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/UNIX Network ProgrammingEoRdE6 (talk) 20:13, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
May I also direct you to WP:TEXTBOOKS which states that the normal notability rules do not apply to textbooks.EoRdE6 (talk) 20:22, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
WP:TEXTBOOKS also says "and whether it is, or has been, taught, or required reading, in one or more reputable educational institutions." which is more than satisfied by the links I gave. I assume from this diff that you've now managed to read as well as click? Bazj (talk) 20:27, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
