Suggestions for further improvement[edit]

I have a few suggestions for how you can further improve the article:

First, the general characteristics of the ship should be summarized briefly in the design section, like length, beam, draft, displacement, armament, crew size, etc. You don't want to go into too much detail to avoid duplicating material that should be in the class article, but you want enough for the reader to be able to get a general picture of the ship.

Another thing to include is the modernization data - ideally, you'll be able to find when and where it happened. Also, since one of the 5" guns was removed, you'd want to explain in the article why it was removed and what they put in its place.

I made some general copyediting changes to the introduction and the Design section (feel free to change or revert anything you don't like) to give you an idea of what to do with the rest of the article. Things like italicizing ship names, using piped links to hide disambiguators, and the like help to clean up the article. For instance, we don't usually include the ship's hull number in an article (unless we're talking about two ships with the same name).

I hope this helps! Parsecboy (talk) 11:04, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
