The Disengagement Plan [edit]
I improved the grammar in this section. Could someone take a look and decide if the editing tag can be removed. Chocom 10:00, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Political Activity [edit]
The part about "joint committee of the Security Committee, composed of members from the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committees and the American Congress" can't be right. American Congressmen and Senators don't serve on Israeli parliamentary committees. The Hebrew Yuval Steinitz page says something more plausible, though still not 100% clear to me:
"chairman of the joint security committee to the foreign affairs committee and to the US Congress"
or perhaps
"chairman of the joint security committee to the committee on Foreign Affairs and the US Congress"
Perhaps someone more familiar with Israeli politics (i.e. what committees do and don't exist, and what it means for a body to be a "committee" to another "committee") could clear this up for us, in the interests of improving this page.
The Hebrew Yuval Steinitz page contains a good deal of extra material. Would it be a good idea to translate that material over to the English page?
major copyedit by Harvey256 [edit]
I undud these changes:[1]
Added OR and removed sourced material. The article had been turned into a dramatical bio / analysis / puff piece of Steinitz. Some new info could be reinserted if done properly. --Shuki (talk) 20:49, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Before I edited this article it was a mess, the headlines do not match the body of the text. The English grammar is very poor and there are a number of factual inaccuracies. I therefore decided to totally re-write the piece, if issue has been taken with my bias, then fine, I will do my utmost to stay impartial. However the post can not stay as is, it is badly written and clearly biased against Dr Steinitz. While I am a novice in wikipedia, my writing skills cannot be knocked, thus please allow me to update the piece and assist me in any technical errors that I may make. While I will strive to source everything write, you can be rest assured that my work is based on the Hebrew post, first hand knowledge and other prestigious publications. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Harvey256 (talk • contribs) .
