Nandamuri Taraka Ratna is an Indian actor who works in Telugu cinema. After debuting in Okato Number Kurraadu (2003), he did several movies as a hero before moving on to villain roles.
Early life
Tarak was born on 22 February 1983 in Hyderabad. He is the grandson of Telugu actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. T. Rama Rao.
He is the cousin of actor and producer Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and actor and television personality Jr. N.T.R and politician Nara Lokesh,[1] the nephew of actor and politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, actor and politician Nandamuri Harikrishna and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Career
He made his debut film with Okato Number Kurraadu (2002). having K. Raghavendra Rao as the screenplay writer and producer and M. M. Keeravani as the music composer.[2] Early on in his career, Taraka Ratna signed several films at once including Yuva Rathna (2003), Taarak (2003) and Bhadradri Ramudu.[3] He did negative role with Amaravathi (2009) where he got Nandi Award for his negative role. His role was well received.[4] After doing several films as a hero, he also played a negative role in Raja Cheyyi Vesthe (2016). Recently he played the lead role in the Hotstar Web Series 9 Hours (2022). He is also signing web series with Amazon and Netflix with big production houses.
