Guillaume Gallienne[edit]

Gallienne at the 39th César Awards

  • ALT1:... that Guillaume Gallienne's (pictured) autobiographical film Me, Myself and Mum won five awards at the 2014 Césars?
  • ALT2:... that Guillaume Gallienne's (pictured) mother assumed he was gay until he got engaged to a woman?
  • Reviewed: Fifth and sixth nomination - Sixth in lieu of this
  • Comment: ALT2 is cited here (and here if you can read French). I'll add a statement to the bio if the reviewer prefers that hook.

5x expanded by Fuebaey (talk). Self nominated at 15:34, 19 December 2014 (UTC).

  • Sufficiently expanded, meets core content policies. Good to go with ALT0 or ALT1 only. ALT2 does not appear in the article. --Jakob (talk) 19:14, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
And besides, Elton John got engaged (and even married) a woman, so I'm not sure this guy's mom is using very good reasoning. (Apparently EJ had promised his mother he would get married -- isn't that sweet?) EEng (talk) 16:23, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
With respect, I don't see how Elton John is related here. I was aiming for a more interesting hook than "person/film won award". The film is about a man recounting how, as a boy, others would perceive him differently because of his personality; and the path he takes to discover his own sexuality. I didn't include the comment because I thought it was trivial. Fuebaey (talk) 22:10, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
ALT2 implies the subject's engagement to a woman convinced his mom concluded he wasn't gay. I was simply pointing out that being engaged to (or even marrying) a woman is far from conclusive. EEng (talk) 03:33, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
True, to be fair she didn't accept it when he first told her. At the risk of having this nom languish longer on this list, I've expanded and added the film. How about:
ALT3:... that in his autobiographical film, when Guillaume Gallienne (pictured) first came out as hetrosexual to his mother, she refused to believe him? Fuebaey (talk) 13:20, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
@Jakec: I've added another article to this nom. Would you care to review it or should I call for another reviewer? Fuebaey (talk) 13:44, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
Good to go with ALT1. --Jakob (talk) 00:52, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
