Herbert Greene (Broadway conductor)[edit]

Created/expanded by Adambrower (talk). Nominated by Ryan Vesey (talk) at 21:39, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

  • I did some cleanup and formatting on citations. However, I wonder where the birth information was obtained. Also, the first paragraph of the Career section is unreferenced and requires verification. More cleanup is desired, to be honest. --George Ho (talk) 06:44, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
  • I see that no citations were added to verify such information. Unlike films and television, live performances are not recorded. Instead, they are reported by third-party and other non-primary sources. If there is no further effort to make this article well-sourced, then this nomination will likely be rejected. --George Ho (talk) 23:49, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
  • Sadly, Adambrower is the only one with access to this information so I am unable to improve the article with sources at this time. Ryan Vesey Review me! 02:27, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
  • I notice that he might have returned from a trip, so we'll expect him to add sources anytime soon. Patience... George Ho (talk) 02:30, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
  • Thanks for your patience all. unfortunately the wait will be compounded, since i underwent several hours of oral surgery yesterday and my acuity, already in short supply, is severely diminished. nonetheless i would hate to see this admirable opportunity to get out the word on HG slip away. am i right in assuming that i especially need to support his study with Maestro Lomanaco and the publication of "The White Notes?" the latter may be possible; the former, probably not.Adambrower (talk) 19:54, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
  • Adambrower, can you elaborate the last two sentences for us, please? I could not understand Maestro Lomanaco and The White Notes. --George Ho (talk) 20:12, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
  • This has been open for another nine days, and by now should be removed, IMO. I made more copyedits, and then some more, and there are some problems. I cut a bunch of unencyclopedic language, but the article is not really up to par--it does not, for instance, actually describe his career, and has an unverified paragraph (that's not per DYK rules). Ryan, I appreciate your efforts to get a new article and editor on the front page, but I'm afraid this one is not ready to go yet. Sorry, Drmies (talk) 02:43, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
  • Thanks for your assistance and review Drmies. You were correct on the status of some of the language, it took a bit of effort to get the article ready to move from AFC to the mainspace so I did a less than normal review of the article before considering it for DYK. In any case, it's at least a decent article on a very interesting fellow and hopefully, if more sources are found in the future, we can get a high quality article there. Ryan Vesey Review me! 03:22, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
  • Per reviewer, the article does not meet DYK sourcing rules. BlueMoonset (talk) 01:51, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
