The Basement Recordings II is a demo release by Canadian singer-songwriter Alexz Johnson and her brother, Brendan Johnson, serving as a sequel to the demo album released in 2011, entitled The Basement Recordings.

Development[edit]

The Basement Recordings II consists of demo material recorded by Johnson that has not made its way to a release. The album was announced on Christmas Day[1] and its release was later set for May 1, 2012.[2] It is the sequel album to The Basement Recordings.[3]

Sequel[edit]

On December 2012 Brendan Johnson hinted via Twitter that there will be a third installment to The Basement Recordings series. On the 14th of January 2013, Alexz Johnson confirmed the release of the album. The Basement Recordings III is due out on 22 February 2013.[4]
