Jesus "Jesse" Rios(legally Del Rio from father's immigration)(born January 26, 1993 in Galveston, Texas), also known under his stage name (the) Jericho and also former ring name MALO52 (or MALO), is a Mexican-American music producer, songwriter, and a former rapper. He is currently a junior student in Sam Rayburn High School in Pasadena, Texas. His music career spans from R&B, gangsta rap, old school, hip hop and Latin music. He is currently signed to MySpace Records.
Stage name changes[edit]
Jesus was originally known from his debut stage name MALO52, in which "MALO" literally means "BAD" in Spanish. The number "52" is an additive to his name which he says is to represent his ZIP area code, which is 77502. Originally 502, he has later shortened it to "make it not too big and more catchy". Since mid-2008, he has since changed his stage name to (the) Jericho, which derived from WWE professional wrestler Chris Jericho's "stage" last name, whom he is a fan of.
Career[edit]
His music career started when he found out about MySpace's official music page and the recruitment of new musicians done each month. Since his debut in May 16, 2006 in his first six weeks, he has sold over 35+ tracks. He was also "Producer Of The Month" for MySpace Music in June 2006.
2nd Coming[edit]
In August 2, 2006, Malo was suspended due to violations with sampling other artists' music, which was a violation in MySpace's music page. On November 21, 2007, five months after being off from his then 1-year suspension period, Malo came back in what he called his "2nd Coming", from which he mimicked from professional wrestler Chris Jericho's "second coming" in the WWE from a 2-year hiatus of kayfabe being fired.
