Your edits to July 23[edit]

Dear 165.83.133.250,
Some of your edits on the page July 23 have been undone by PseudoBot, a robot built to keep the date pages tidy. The problems are:

The person you added doesn't seem to have a Wikipedia page.

If the page exists, check that you've spelled and capitalized the name the same way as the article, and try again. If it doesn't yet exist, read this page carefully before creating it. In particular, you shouldn't create a page about yourself or anyone you know personally. If this bot has got it wrong (as can unfortunately happen), please accept its author's apologies, and (if you would like) leave a message on this talk page with the details, so it can be improved. July 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did with this edit to Thompson Island (Massachusetts), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:03, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

August 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit that you made to the page Top Thrill Dragster has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Please use the sandbox for testing any edits; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing for further information. Thank you. Jusdafax 19:20, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

July 2012[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is invited to contribute, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Northern puffer, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, American black bear ‎ , but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 09:42, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries when changing dates[edit]

Hi: When you change dates in an article, could you please use the edit summary to explain why you are making the change. Unexplained changing of numbers and dates is a very prevalent form of "sneaky vandalism" on Wikipedia, which detracts from the encyclopedia's accuracy, but is less likely to be caught then writing dirty words or other more obvious kinds of vandalism. If you explain why you change a date, it's more likely to not be reverted by another editor, who at least can check to make sure everything;s OK. Thanks. BMK (talk) 21:21, 25 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it's a good idea to use edit summaries all the time, if you can. BMK (talk) 21:21, 25 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

January 2017[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you removed some content from Ellis Island without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Alice Fleming. Recent edit to Mrs. Leslie Carter[edit]

Hello. I noticed that you recently made a contribution to the Mrs. Leslie Carter article that seemed to be a test. Your test worked! However, test edits on live articles disrupt Wikipedia and may confuse readers. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. March 2018[edit]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Verree Teasdale. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. While you did cite a search at ancestry.com, without a paid subscription, nobody can verify the information. In addition, you went into more detail about the subject's parents than would normally be done, especially in a lead paragraph. tubedogg (talk) 20:02, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, 165.83.133.250. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page United States Park Police, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. CataracticPlanets (talk) 04:44, 20 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

GPS location[edit]

While your intentions may be good, the location of the Hinson Mounds is public knowledge, and readily available on the Internet. There is therefore no valid reason for removing that information from Wikiepedia. - Donald Albury 03:05, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
