January 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm TheManInTheBlackHat. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 15:25, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia, and articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Kevin Feige. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, please use the sandbox instead, where you are given a certain degree of freedom in what you write. InfiniteNexus (talk) 16:56, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 17:08, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Rupert Grint. Philipnelson99 (talk) 17:26, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

you missed two edits. We talk, I'll give you the location of one up front and the other after you unblock me.

Decline reason:

We can live with the status quo. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 01:55, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock Request[edit]

Request reason:

I've been pretty immature lately. The edits I put in I thought were funny were actually trivialising a lot of people's hard work and was derivative of trolls that have come before me.

Through exploring wikipedia, I've discovered so many opportunities to improve. I am knowledgeable in many areas that need expanding and have seen several typos and erros left behind. I want to do this legitimately and create an account.

It was stupid of me to try to blackmail the admins into unblocking me. You wound up finding one of the edits. So as a token of good faith, I'll tell you where the other one is. In the first paragraph of Shane Dawson's memoirs, I put a citation needed that did not need to be there.

I look forward to hearing from you. 2403:5809:986:0:B4D6:2D0C:B1B1:70F0 (talk) 04:51, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This is a decent start, but you will need to tell us what edits you intend to make in order for the block to be removed early. 331dot (talk) 09:30, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock Request Part 2[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

2403:5809:986:0:B4D6:2D0C:B1B1:70F0 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Please refer to my previous request for more information. I've been asked to list what edits I want to make before I am unblocked early. I want to find a better photo for Neil Breen and found some incorrect information about who reviewed Fateful Findings. I'd also like to fix up Scooby Doo: Night of 100 Frights and expand on the artistic style of the game. 159.196.168.255 (talk) 12:01, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Checkuser block. The IP appealing the block is not the blocked IP, thus there is no reason to lift the block. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 20:31, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Neither this IP nor the one you're posting from is currently blocked. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 12:09, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree. This IP address is blocked by me as part of a range. See here. I agree that 159.196.168.255 is (currently) not blocked, though it's clearly the same person. --Yamla (talk) 12:19, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
